Let's get Arty with

 Flame Spiral Yarn

This Art Yarn is so named as the finished Yarn takes on the appearance of a spiralled candle flame.
Start with carded fibre, then spin a continuous  single thick/thin yarn onto a Bobbin, this is known  as slub yarn.
Now ply the slub yarn onto a thin thread, controlling the twist and creating the larger spirals where the slub yarn is thickest. if you wanted a more exaggerated spiral effect, just give the thin thread more tension.

 Coil Yarn

This Art Yarn is the king of unbalanced ply yarns.
Start with making the Wrapping Yarn by core spinning your fibre.
Taking your Wrapping Yarn and wrap it as a coil onto and fully covering a Core Yarn.
